The roofbars from Atera did not exactly fit the model as stated (too short) and AUBU's solution was to contact the maufacturer who said they do fit...but the front bar/fitting is 4 cms too short. Return cost would be more than 50% purchase price. Dispute raised with Paypal.

The front bar assembly is 42mm shorter than stated in the Atera's instruction manual/specification. The company are invoking the manufacturer's guarantee when in fact my contractural dispute is with AUBU and not Atera as the goods are "not fit for purpose" I never received an email dated 09 July as stated by AUBU The cheapest return postage is £62.18 due to the LENGTH of the package. In every respect, AUBU is willfully acting against standardised EU distance selling regulations. The purchaser and ONLY the purchaser can determine if the product is fit for purpose and - provided the product has not been used for its intended purpose - the seller is responsible for return postage costs. I have rejected the product, it is not my property and it is down to the seller to reclaim their goods if they so choose AND to refund in full the purchase price.
